• Cycle for Autism ^New Saturday, June 5, 2010

Over 200 individuals are expected to come out and Ride, Run, Roll or Stroll in Autism Ontario - Niagara Chapter fundraising event. The event's goal is set at $30,000 to provide support and programs that can help individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) meet their potential as well as help families and professionals meet the challenge of a supporting role. Cycle for Autism is about family, friends and supporters taking the time to gather pledges, participate in the cycle and have a great day together. Many of the families and friends look forward to the opportunity to support the Niagara Chapter and have a great time in the process. A barbeque will be held at 11:30am.

• Welland Firefighters Easter Egg Hunt ^New Saturday, April 3, 2010

Merritt Island Welland is the home of the 15th annual Welland Volunteer Fire Company #1 Easter Egg Hunt with over $4 000 in treats and prizes.

This popular event begins at 10:00 am and concludes at 3:00 pm rain or shine.

Day long activities include face painting, games, music, refreshments, inflated bouncing areas and the easter egg hunts for different age groups. Clowns, bunnies and mascots will be around all day to greet the families who have come out for fun and in support of the Welland Hospital Maternal & Child Care Unit.

Hunt times: 1-3 years 10am and 12:30, 4-7 years 10:30 and 1:00pm, 8-10 years 11am and 1:30, 11-15 years 11:30 and 2pm, Family hunt at Noon and 2:30pm.
