  • Kids can have some "reel" fun in the St.Catharines Game and Fish Club Kids Day Fishing Derby on Saturday, May 1st 2010.

    2010 year marks the 16th anniversary for this catch and release derby, with kids fishing for fun and prizes.

    Kids age 2-16, and all ages for special needs anglers, are invited to cast a line, have a great time and, with a little bit of luck, some excellent fishing.

    The St. Catharines Game and Fish Club is located at 61 Lighthouse Rd in St. Catharines.

  • In the Soil intends to celebrate Niagara's distinct arts and culture by showcasing a wide variety of artists, at all different stages of their career, in events held over two weeks in April.

    Artists were featured in venues throughout downtown St. Catharines and at a special Centre for the Arts showcase of the most innovative music, theatre and dance.

    In The Soil will be harvesting the unique talents of Niagara's performing artists, visual artists and filmmakers once again!

A Kid’s Ticket to Travel, a travelling exhibition produced by the Canadian Museum of Civilization. This fun-filled exhibition will help children explore and understand why people travel and how travelling can change us. Children will be able to make their own “memory travel case” to hold their favourite memories of the day. There are also prizes (while quantities last) to be won and a game, Where’s Mr. Bagg?, in which children help to find this lively imaginary traveler who has lost his way. Pack Your Bags!   • Niagara Folk Arts Festival New May 14 - May 30, 2010

  • The Niagara Folk Arts Festival has enjoyed continued success for over 40 years, making it one of Canada’s oldest Heritage Festivals. From May 14 - May 30, 2010, old favorites and new festival events will make this year's Folk Arts celebration one not to be missed.

    Some of the finest Canadian and International performers of world music, folk music, and dance will be presented!

    Open Houses at various Cultural Halls throughout the Region, Interactive Children's Workshops, Cultural Folk Dance Groups, Great Food and Drink.
