The Crystal Beach Arts and Folk Festival is in its 6th year. New this year: we will be accepting applications for art and artisans, and have live music all day from local musicians.

Artists from all over Southern Ontario and Western New York converge on Waterfront Park to show and sell their work. This juried show has grown each year and now it is one that over 50 artists mark on their calendars each June.

Waterfront Park is a beautiful landscaped park on the shore of Lake Erie which provides a magnificient backdrop for this show. The Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre is holding an Open House for the Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) program, which offers academic upgrading for persons looking to reach their goal of success and attend College. (funded by Niagara College) Brian Hutchings, Commissioner for Community and Social Services Niagara will be delivering an inspirational talk to potential learners, as well as a delicious buffet dinner, Native drumming, and a traditional Native opening and closing. This will surely make for a memorable and motivating night!

• Hooked on Fishing Not Drugs ^New May 8, 9, 2010

Hooked on Fishing Not Drugs is a free trout fishing event for kids and the young at heart held on Mother's Day weekend.

No entry fee or fishing license is required but registration will take place upon arrival. All names are then entered into a draw to be elegible to win a prize... even if they don't hook any fish. Kids can bring their moms with the first 50 mothers receiving a special gift.

Food and refreshments, prizes in many categories, fishing equipment supplied (limited), hayrides, games, aquarium, grand prize draws on Saturday and Sunday at 3pm.

She currently has a one to one worker to assist her in managing daily routines and to attend pre-school with her that we personally pay for. As I will be going on maternity leave we need to raise the funds to keep her worker with her or she will be unable to continue her preschool, which would be devastating for her progress. please find it in your heart to assist our sweet little girl in staying in school.
